The Career Liftoff® Interest Inventory (CLII) is a new, state-of-the-art tool that assesses the career interests of individuals and align them with the interest profiles of various career fields. Respondents indicate the extent to which they enjoy performing a wide range of activities, from which their career interests can be inferred. Individuals have a high likelihood of being satisfied in a career field if their interest scores are high in that CLII career field.

 

The CLII Model

The CLII is organized around the RIASEC model defined by John Holland in his Theory of Careers.  This model organizes the world of work around six distinct categories of interests.  All jobs of work can be classified according to their alignment with these six career types. The six types include:
